Medicare's new prescription drug coverage, also called Medicare Part D is the most significant change to Medicare since the program began and it could mean big savings for you. Anthem Blue Cross medicare RX has three drug plans that have been approved by Medicare...the Value, Plus and Gold Plans. The Anthem Blue Cross Plans offer low premiums and low copayments because cost is important for everyone.
The three plans have a wide choice of covered prescription drugs. While generic drugs may provide big savings, they aren't always an option. Anthem Blue Cross has a drug list (also known as formulary) which gives you more medication choices along with money-saving generic drugs. Of course, when you purchase brand name drugs, your share of they cost will be higher but at least you have the choice. The plans have a broad retail pharmacy network with access to nearly 50,000 pharmacies nationwide.
The price for these three plans are either $17.60, $31.30 or $59 per month depending on which plan you select.
